Dr. Keesey’s path to dentistry started somewhere most people wouldn’t expect: a Craigslist ad for a dental assistant position. What began as a chance opportunity quickly turned into a career she loves; one where she gets to help patients feel comfortable, informed, and truly heard while improving their oral health.
That early experience as an assistant shaped how she practices today. Working chairside, she saw firsthand how much a calm explanation, a steady presence, and an honest conversation can change the way someone feels about going to the dentist. Many of the patients she met were nervous or unsure about past treatment, and she learned that slowing down to listen often mattered just as much as the clinical work itself.
It’s a perspective she brings into every visit at Dental Minds. From the moment you sit in the chair, Dr. Keesey is focused on creating a space where you feel listened to. She takes the time to walk through each step of a treatment plan, answers questions without rushing, and makes sure no one leaves an appointment unsure about what comes next.

Dr. Keesey believes great dentistry starts with listening.
She wants every patient to feel comfortable asking questions and to fully understand their care. Her approach centers on communication, trust, and patient education: three things she sees as the foundation of a healthy, long-term relationship between a dentist and a patient.
By focusing on the conversation as much as the clinical work, she helps her patients feel more relaxed during their visits and more confident about the choices they make for their oral health. It’s an approach that fits naturally with the way the whole team practices at Dental Minds, where spending real time with each patient comes first.
